Overview of Employment Law Workshop Summary:
Legal issues in the workplace are complex and sometimes overwhelming. In this session, participants will review employment-at-will in Illinois, including the legal effect of handbook promises, unjust dismissal, and unemployment compensation for discharged employees. Our program would also cover sexual harassment (including employer liability for assault in Illinois), disability discrimination, and the use of medical testing.
Depending on legislation or court rulings between December 2010 and April 2011, the seminar will address “update issues” in federal law.

Any person interested in a better understanding of employment law, particularly human resource professionals.
